You Can Start Calling Him JFK Now

Baring a wild shock to the system, it looks like John Kerry is definitely the Democratic nominee for president. Its 2004 and that means I'm supporting whoever the Democrats nominate against Bush. So it John Kerry for me. No scratch that. John Forbes Kerry, known in this space from here till eternity (or maybe December 2004) as JFK.

Why? Cause who the hell is going to vote against JFK? Mr Kerry had some luck with his initials and I'm going to milk them for whatever propaganda value they are worth. I hope you can join me please, because the last thing we need is more Dubya.

I swear, I realized the same thing this morning. It's like "Wow! It's JFK, minus all the drugs and Marilyn!"
On a more serious note, I don't think you're going to see him start referring to himself (or the (re)press referring to him as John F. Kerry because it would obviously be for a single reason and so there might be a bit of a backlash.

The "John F Kerry" gets a decent amount of play actually from the media and Kerry himself. Its the "Forbes" that doesn't get spoken of. I actually was in the middle of typing John Fitzgerald Kerry when I realized I had no idea what the "F" stood for.

but yeah Kerry's campaign is reluctant to play up the JFK too much. A shame really. this is a nasty election, I'd like them to do whatever it takes to win... I'm hoping they play it at some point, but no matter, its going to get out.

Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song, A medley of extemporanea; And love is a thing that can never go wrong; And I am Marie of Romania.
