Where?

So just where did Giuliani put all the homeless people? Anyone who spent real time in NY will know what I'm talking about. Anyone whose spent real time in SF lately will suspect NY just shipped all their homeless people to the Bay. But really its been bothering me for years, where are they all? Prison? Queens? New Jersey? Its not like there are all these new inexpensive homes in NY...

Giuliani didn't put the homeless people anywhere. Bill Clinton cured homelessness. Thank God for Bill Clinton. He is the greatest. The NY Times says so.

The homeless were fed to the hungry.

According to Jonathon Kozol (in "Amazing Grace", I think it was), the Manhattan homeless were, through a series of offer-you-can't-refuse-style machinations and intense policiosity, relocated to areas like the South Bronx and Deepest, Darkest Brooklyn. Since Manhattan is the "public face" of NYC, the effect was to make the homeless far less visible, though no less present.
